Fellow bloggers - help me!

I've reached my storage limit on here, help me! Has anyone else experienced this? Should I pay the $2.49 a month to upgrade? I don't mind paying that at all but if there is any other way around this then I  would much appreciate the info!

In other news I have successfully (so far!) set up my own portraits and wedding photography business! This is something I have been talking about for years now and I finally did it a few months ago. It's just such an exciting time in my life, my dreams are coming true and it's amazing! To be able to do a job you're passionate about is the best feeling in the world :)

Lake District

Me, George, Sue and Eddie went to the Lakes in May and had the best time ever! Sue recently got a new camera so with 3 photographers the walks were very long! We met a lovely couple who must have been about 60 (I'm bad with ages though!) they helped us find one of our routes and told us it should take 1 1/2 hours... it took us over 5!! We just couldn't stop taking photos!
We stayed in an amazing cottage with stunning views, had beautiful food at the local pub and walked for miles in the day, generally had the perfect get away!

Jubilee!

It's been a very patriotic few weeks around the UK and I've loved it! I wish houses could be decorated in flags every year. There were so many different events going on in my village - street parties, big lunches, craft stalls and entertainment for all ages. It really was a special weekend :)
On Mon 4th I had a stall selling photographs at the Ferriby Fun Day. I managed to rope my Mum and Sister to come and help so I could wander off and take photographs! Here they are :)

Fingers crossed I'll have a cinemagraph of some fireworks to show you! Not had chance to look at the videos yet so they may be useless but they may also be amazing ;)

New Design

Just a little post to announce the new design to match my website (under construction at the minute but I've seen it and it looks amazing!) all courtesy of the very talented George :)

Cinemagraph

This is my first attempt at a cinemagraph and boy did I find it hard! I have a video camera but only a small basic one I use for fun. I recently upgraded my DSLR and my new camera has video recording built in. I've never done any kind of videoing (is that the right term?!) before so it's all very new to me! I realise the cinemagraph is jumping horribly all over the shop but just try imagine it's smooth! I'm going to the lakes this weekend with George so I'm excited to refine my cinemagraphic techniques (sounds a better way to say it than 'stop sucking at making them') with some gorgeous shots of the views!

EDIT!!! I fixed it! It's no longer as jumpy, don't know if what I did was right but it seemed to have worked for now. I still need to work on the editing as I can see mistakes when I've made my vector mask, and it's not fluid when it reaches the end but these are all things I can improve with practise and patience!

Also next time I'm going to pick something easier to work with, I found the shape of the flowers hard! 

Glowing

I saw this idea on the internet a few weeks ago and had to try it! Tutorial

I want to explore this further and keep trying different variations of it but for now I'm very happy with the results!

Nom Nom Nom

Doing my 365 has made me think outside the box with the photos I take every day, as much as I'd like to I can't take 365 photos of flowers!
So for day 112 I decided to document George cooking tea :)

 

I've never photographed food before so this was interesting to do.

Instagram

A few instagrams from a recent holiday to Tenerife. I've only had the app a few weeks but I'd seen a lot of instagrams floating around the internet before, I always thought the app could be so much more than snap shots of friends (I do do that as well though!) After playing around for a bit I've come up with the above photos, I'm very happy :)
